Semenyo has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs

Ghanaian winger, Antoine Semenyo has reacted to a potential move to a major European club away from AFC Bournemouth.

He emphasised that his priority is to excel for Bournemouth by scoring goals and providing assists to help his club achieve success in the ongoing season.

Speaking in an interview with British media outlet Sky Sports, Semenyo indicated that a decision would be made if a transfer opportunity presents itself in the future.

“I don’t think about it too much. I try to stay present as much as I can. You see the news all the time, I see it as well, I’m not oblivious, but I try to keep focused. I’m enjoying my football here.

“If I’m not scoring goals, all of that goes away. I try to stay present, do the best I can for the team, score goals, and whatever happens in the future happens,” he said

He continued, “When they [his former teammates] all left in the summer, there was a lot of interest and back and forth with the club. But I knew in my head that the manager’s got something up his sleeve this year. How we finished off the season last year was so good, and we could continue, especially with the players we’ve brought in as well.”

Meanwhile, the right-winger’s new deal is reported to include a release clause.

Although the figure remains undisclosed, the Cherries are said to value Semenyo at £75 million.

Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Semenyo’s performance closely and could approach him for a deal in the future.
