    The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) officially marked the beginning of a new chapter in its leadership on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, as Dr. Randy Abbey assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

    Dr. Abbey’s appointment as CEO was made by President John Draman Mahama on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. He officially took office the following day, bringing his wealth of expertise to the organization.

    The atmosphere at COCOBOD headquarters was filled with optimism and warmth as staff came together to give Dr. Abbey a heartfelt welcome.

    Employees lined up to greet their new leader, who was warmly ushered around the premises as he began familiarizing himself with his new environment.

    COCOBOD’s social media platforms echoed the enthusiasm, highlighting the excitement and hope surrounding Dr. Abbey’s arrival, as well as the anticipation of a bright future for the organization under his leadership.

    In addition to his role as CEO of COCOBOD, Dr. Abbey will also serve as Chairman of the newly formed Black Stars Management Committee, a position he was appointed to on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
