Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori suffered an ankle injury during practice and was limited on Wednesday.
The injury comes just four days before Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots begins from the San Francisco Bay Area.
According to reports, Emmanwori hurt himself while defending a pass late in the day’s proceedings.
Fortunately, he was able to walk off the field under his own power. Multiple players and coaches came by to check up on him before he departed.
‘He had an ankle today,’ said head coach Mike Macdonald. ‘We brought him in to look at it and we’ll kind of go from here and figure out what are the next steps.’
As Macdonald hinted, the extent of Emmanwori’s injury has not been fully discovered just yet.

Emmanwori has been a sensation for Seattle and is nominated for Defensive Rookie of the Year
Losing Emmanwori would be a disaster for the Seahawks, who have leaned on the spectacular play of the rookie.
Emmanwori was drafted 35th overall in 2025 out of the University of South Carolina and became a star for Seattle’s already vaunted secondary.
In the regular season, he logged 56 solo tackles and 81 total tackles along with two-and-a-half sacks and an interception.
During the playoffs, Emmanwori recovered a fumble in the NFC Divisional round beatdown of the rival San Francisco 49ers.
