A schoolgirl cyclist has died after she was hit by a Ford Transit van prompting detectives to launch an investigation.
Police were called to reports of a crash in Felsted, Essex at 4.50pm on April 22.
Sadly, the rider of a bike, a 15-year-old girl, was taken to hospital and died three days later.
The girl’s family is being supported by specialist officers after she was hit in the area of Charles Moore Place and Station Road.
Essex Police have urged anyone who may have information to come forward.
