Award-winning Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has officially confirmed that his popular Rapperholic Concert is finally making its long-awaited debut in Kumasi on September 27, 2025.

Breaking the news via his official social media platforms on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Sarkodie wrote:

“It’s Official #RapperholicTheHomeComing This year we bring my people in Oseikrom a treat! 27th September tickets OUT this Friday 25 July!!! I’m gassed up 💨💨💨 #Rapperholic25”

This announcement has sparked excitement among fans in Kumasi and across the Ashanti Region, as this will be the first-ever official Rapperholic event in Kumasi, dubbed “Rapperholic The Homecoming.”

Ahead of this historic concert, Sarkodie and his team visited the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace on Friday, July 18, 2025, to formally inform the King about the event and to seek his blessing. During the visit, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II warmly welcomed the initiative and expressed his desire to attend the concert himself, despite usually limiting his public appearances.

In his own words, the Asantehene stated:

“They don’t allow me to go out often but this one, I would like to attend and watch the event myself.”

The Asantehene also advised Sarkodie and his team to remain humble as they continue to achieve greatness.

With the “Rapperholic25” Homecoming edition, Sarkodie promises to deliver an unforgettable night of music, culture, and showmanship to his fans in Oseikrom and beyond. Tickets for the show will officially go on sale this Friday, July 25, 2025.
