Despite claims from some of his colleagues that he ignores phone calls when needed for a feature, gospel musician Obaapa Christy has shared a different opinion about Sarkodie.
In a recent interview with Nana Romeo, Obaapa Christy noted that she didn’t go through any struggle when she needed Sarkodie for a feature.
She explained that after recording her new single titled “Odeneho,” she had an inspiration to feature Sarkodie, adding that the rapper agreed to give her a verse after her first phone call.

“After recording the song in the studio, I said to myself that I would need King Sark on the song. Fortunately for me, the music producer left some gaps in between the songs, so I took it home and called Sarkodie on WhatsApp because I was in Germany.
“When he picked up the call, he asked me to send the song, and that was when he told me I would hear from him very soon,” she said.
Obaapa Christy added that Sarkodie didn’t hesitate in adding his verse to her new single.

According to Obaapa Christy, Sarkodie told her he already had the lyrics and was simply waiting for the perfect time to collaborate.
“He told me that it won’t take long and that he would send the song back to me. True be told, it didn’t last long,” he stated.

She added, “When Sark sent the song, he told me that he already had the lyric and was waiting for the perfect time to send it. He said that this is the perfect time. After that, I became so relaxed.”
