The popular Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known in showbiz as Sarkodie – and affectionately called “Obidi” or “King Sark” – has released a brand new single titled “Asante Yɛ Oman.”

On Saturday night, September 27, 2025, the ‘Rapperholic Homecoming’ became the biggest concert in Kumasi — making Baba Yara Sports Stadium the center of Ghana’s entertainment world.

After a successful Homecoming concert performed by numerous artists like Shatta Wale, Obrafour, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal and many more — energizing fans in Kumasi, Sarkodie released a thank you song showing the pride of Ashanti.

The track, which dropped shortly after his successful Rapperholic Homecoming Concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, serves as both a tribute and a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the people of the Ashanti Region.

“Asante Yɛ Oman” is a strong addition to Sarkodie’s discography. It’s neither just another party track nor purely commercial; it works as a tribute and affirmation. For an artist of Sarkodie’s calibre, this kind of song enhances his credibility — reinforcing that he can both entertain and evoke deep cultural pride.

The award-winning rapper, Sarkodie, recalled the overwhelming love shown to him, particularly how fans stood firm through the heavy downpour to support the show.
