Yesihat Yeerken (10-7) of China will face Filipino contender Jhunrick Carcedo (11-4) in a thrilling WBA Asia South super welterweight title fight headlining the Sanman Boxing Show on February 9 at the Villa Kristen Resort and Hotel in General Santos City. Sanman Boxing CEO Jim Claude Manangquil says, “This is a very even and exciting fight and people from GenSan should not miss this action.”
In the undercard, former WBC Asia lightweight champion Jerald Into (13-1) will clash with Ernie Sanchez in a junior welterweight bout, serving as a tune-up for Into before his April showdown in China for a WBO Global lightweight title. Unbeaten Yesimuhan Yeerken (4-0) will meet the durable Boyce Sultan in an eight-round welterweight matchup; Yesimuhan is the younger brother of Yesihat, who is fighting in the main event. Yeerken was sidelined by an injury last year but is now 100% and ready for a big 2026.
This event is promoted by Sanman Boxing and sponsored by Villa Kristen Resort and Hotel. Tables for six (6) seats are available for 15,000 pesos; individual tickets are 500 pesos.
