Football administrator Samuel Anim Addo has dismissed reports claiming that former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari was arrested in Dubai.

In a statement posted on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Anim Addo confirmed that Muntari is “safe and currently residing in Dubai, where he is focused on his personal affairs and business activities.”

Anim Addo, who previously served as business manager to former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan, described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them. He also called on the media outlets that circulated the misinformation to retract their stories and issue an apology.

“Failure to do so,” he warned, “would result in legal action by Muntari’s lawyers.”

The clarification comes after earlier social media reports alleged that the 2010 UEFA Champions League winner had been detained in Dubai.

Anim Addo’s swift response has since drawn widespread attention online, with many fans expressing relief over Muntari’s well-being
