Samuel Amo-Ameyaw made a telling impact by setting up Martial Godo’s crucial goal in Strasbourg’s 2-1 win over Hacken in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night.
The English-Ghanaian winger started for Strasbourg at the Gamla Ullevi Stadium and impressed throughout the match with his pace, energy, and sharp link-up play. His decisive moment came in the 60th minute when he smartly teed up Godo, who finished clinically to double the visitors’ lead.
Earlier, Julio Enciso had opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a fine header after connecting with Godo’s cross. Hacken pulled one back through John Paul Dembe in the 62nd minute, but Strasbourg’s solid defending ensured all three points were secured.
Amo-Ameyaw’s creativity and work rate earned applause from traveling fans, with his performance showing maturity beyond his years. Strasbourg dominated possession with 59% and looked composed in key moments.
The French side will now shift its focus to its upcoming league encounter against Lille on November 9.
