Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams has stated that his chances of earning a call-up to the Black Stars depend entirely on head coach Carlos Queiroz, following his impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League.
Adams has emerged as one of the standout players this season, playing a crucial role in Medeama’s title charge. The midfielder recently delivered a match-winning performance, scoring twice in his side’s victory over Gold Stars at the TnA Stadium. The result lifted Medeama four points clear at the top of the table with four matches remaining, putting them in a strong position to secure what would be their second league title.
Despite his fine form, Adams remained modest about his national team prospects, insisting the decision lies with the coach. “Everything depends on Carlos Queiroz. I’m ready for a Black Stars call-up,” he said.
The midfielder was among several home-based players monitored by Queiroz during recent Black Galaxies friendlies. With the coach yet to announce his final squad, expectations are rising over potential inclusions.
Ghana is set to open its World Cup campaign on June 17 against Panama before facing England and Croatia.
