Head coach of Medeama SC Ibrahim Arnyas Tanko, has heaped praise on his in-form midfielder Salim Adams, strongly backing him for a place in the next Black Stars call-up.

With two Hearts of Oak goalkeeper’s Benjamin Asare and Solomon Agbasi expected to make the cut, some few other home-based players like Hubert Gyau, Seidu Saana and Salim Adams have been tipped by pundits to also deserve a spot in the upcoming March international window.

The 23-year-old deep-line playmaker has been one of the standout performers in the ongoing campaign with series five-star displays and mostly makes his presence felt in high-profile games.

Speaking on his impressive run, the ex- Borussia Dortmund star highlighted Salim’s consistency and eye-catching performances, insisting the Black Stars technical handlers cannot overlook his current form and added his midfielder is edging closer to a well-deserved national team invite.

“It’s no secret that Salim is doing well and scoring some fantastic goals. With the Black Stars technical team closely monitoring the league, I’m sure he is going to get his chance into the team,” he stated.

Salim Adams has so far netted five goals in 19 league games this season, a remarkable return for a midfielder. His ability to strike from long range has become a trademark, earning him huge admiration from fans.

Medeama SC are without a win in their last two matches and in order to preserve their top-spot, they will definitely head into Western derby against their regional rivals FC Samartex on Sunday, February 22, at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex.
