Artiste manager Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has emphasised that Bishop Salifu Amoako should face consequences for his recent statements claiming that his son didn’t directly cause the deaths of the two young girls in the tragic East Legon accident.

Speaking in a discussion on United Showbiz, Bullgod expressed that such comments were inappropriate coming from a pastor.

He said the Archbishop failed to consider the pain the bereaved families are experiencing before making what he described as insensitive statements.

Bullgod said receiving a few beatings might help the pastor understand the gravity of his words.

“The comment the pastor made wasn’t right and someone should slap him. I am sure if he receives such a slap he will come back into his senses. I am sure it is because of the pressure he is going through. So, when he receives a slap, he would be alright,” he said.

Bullgod further urged Bishop Salifu Amoako to issue a public apology to the bereaved families.

“I am expecting him to come out and apologize for his comment or else, I would call him a foolish man,” he added.

    Background

CCTV footage from the car crash on Saturday, October 12, 2024, showed Archbishop Salifu Amoako’s son, Elrad, speeding toward a junction in East Legon where he collided with another vehicle, resulting in a fire.

This led to the death of two young girls that were occupants of the other vehicle.

    Arrest

Following the incident, Archbishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, his wife, and another individual were arrested and later granted GH¢50,000 bail each.

The Archbishop, his wife, and Linda Bonsu Bempah, a sales assistant, recently appeared before the Accra Circuit Court facing charges related to allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle.
