Ghanaian Highlife singer Kofi Nti has made an interesting remark about claims that Roman Fada was the manager of the late Daddy Lumba.

During an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, he made it clear that the claim circulating in recent weeks does not reflect the truth.

Kofi Nti explained that throughout Lumba’s long and celebrated career, only one person ever held a managerial role. He emphasized that point by naming the individual he believes was the sole figure in that position.

“No one has managed Lumba apart from Mr. Brenya. Lumba is too big to be managed by Roman Fada, and he knows that. But because people are saying he is Lumba’s manager, he has accepted it,” he said.

Kofi Nti further reflected on how deeply Lumba influenced his professional journey, recalling the opportunities and encouragement he received from the Highlife legend. He described Lumba as someone who saw his potential early and helped shape his career path.

“Lumba mostly invited me to perform at many big shows. Sometimes, he would allow me to be in charge of some of the events. After my performance, he would tell me I didn’t charge a bigger amount and that I should have allowed him to handle the negotiations.

“It was always a privilege to work with him because he barely shared a microphone with people. Apart from Nana Acheampong, Ofori Amponsah, KK Fosu, and recently Sarkodie, he didn’t share the same stage with many artistes. He took me in as a son, and I was always happy working with him,” he stated.
