Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Mohammed Kudus will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a serious relapse of a quad injury.

The 25-year-old Ghana international had only recently returned to training following a three-month layoff but has now sustained a setback that could require surgery. Speaking ahead of Tottenham’s crucial fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion, De Zerbi expressed deep disappointment over the development.

“Kudus, for this season, has gone,” he said. “I am sorry for him first of all, because he is a good guy. He should be very important for us.”

Kudus’ absence is a major blow for Tottenham, who are battling relegation and currently sit 18th in the table with six matches remaining. The midfielder had been a key figure prior to his initial injury in January, contributing three goals and six assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

The setback also raises concerns for the Ghana national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Teammate Antoine Semenyo described the situation as “frustrating” as preparations continue for their upcoming Group L fixtures.
