Kenpong Football Academy’s talented Ghanaian youngster, Richard Okyere is set to begin a new chapter in his promising career after securing a loan deal with Danish club, Sonderjyske.

Richard Okyere who was the skipper of the highly-rated academy left the shores of the country on Friday, March 28, 2025, to begin his loan spell with Sonderjyske Football Club.

Okyere a talented midfielder with incredible potential and leadership qualities has been a key cog for Kenpong Football Academy.

During a brief send-off ceremony, legendary Ghanaian coach JE Sarpong commended Okyere for being a model professional in his stint with the academy.

He counselled him to continue on the path of discipline and dedication as imbibed in him by his coaches at the academy.

Okyere’s trip follows that of Bossman Debra who recently moved to Norwegian club Stabaek on a permanent deal.

The recent surge in transfers of players of Kenpong Football Academy follows years of groundwork done by the owner, Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) who has toured Europe to establish contact with some of the best clubs in the world including Barcelona and Bastia.

Added to that is the massive work being done by former Black Stars goalkeeper, Adam Kwarasey who is the club’s liaison with European clubs.

It is expected that in the coming weeks, there will be a flurry of transfer activities at Kenpong Football Academy with some young players securing permanent and trial deals in Europe
