The emergence of increasingly complex security threats, including cybercrime, illegal mining, farmer-herder conflicts and violent extremism, makes it necessary for Ghana to review its 2020 National Security Strategy, the Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, has said.

She said the changing security environment required the country to develop strategies that responded effectively to emerging threats and reflected the realities of communities across the country.
