Manchester United players have shared what they really think about a potential return to the club for out of favour winger Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, 25, has struggled for form this season after being loaned out to United’s Premier League rivals Chelsea.

However, some individuals in Ruben Amorim‘s current United are said to have reservations over whether Sancho should play for the Red Devils again.

According to a report from the Manchester Evening News, Sancho’s former team-mates are said to have no bone to pick with Sancho when it comes to his personality.

Despite that, though, some players at Old Trafford felt he was unable to cope with demands of playing for Manchester United before he was exiled by former manager Erik ten Hag a year and a half ago.

United signed Sancho for £72.9million from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, with his contract set to expire next summer.

Should Chelsea not opt to buy Sancho, United would require a fee of £14.58million to sell him and avoid a loss in order to meet the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.

The winger has struggled to find form in west London, starting 19 games for the Blues and completing 90 minutes just eight times.

Sancho, who has scored two goals for Chelsea so far this campaign, last played for England in September 2021.

Last week, it was revealed that Chelsea will have to pay Manchester United £5million in compensation if they decide not to make Jadon Sancho’s loan move permanent this summer, according to a report from The Athletic.

Sancho’s move to Stamford Bridge included an obligation for Chelsea to buy him at the end of the season if they finish 14th or higher in the Premier League.

The fee will be between £22-25million, depending on the Blues final position in the table. Enzo Maresca’s side are currently in fourth, 15 points ahead of Tottenham in 14th.

However, as Mail Sport reported earlier this month, there is still a possibility that Sancho could end up back at Old Trafford this summer if Chelsea decide not to go through with the deal.
