Rita Daniels (L) has slammed Ned Nwoko over Regina’s ordeal
With the family dispute between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, the actress’ mother, Rita Daniels, has accused the politician of using her daughter’s influence to rebuild his declining image.
In a video shared on Instagram Story by Regina’s brother, Sweezy, Rita Daniels appeared angry as she addressed the senator, accusing him of betrayal and emotional manipulation.
Rita Daniels alleged that her daughter, Regina, once financially supported the senator’s political campaign with about $50,000, contradicting claims that he was the one funding Regina’s lifestyle.

“You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star. If you think you can bite the finger that fed you, you’ll go down. My daughter supported your senatorial election with $50,000. We were covering you up and making you feel like an Odogwu. You’re mad!” she said.
Reports surfaced on November 3, 2025, that Regina’s brother, Sweezy, had allegedly been arrested, an arrest the family believes was orchestrated by Senator Nwoko.
Regina Daniels took to her Instagram Story, expressing fear for her family’s safety. In her post, she disclosed that her elder brother and sister had been arrested and that her younger sister might be next.
“Someone, please help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind. I never thought I would do this, but my big brother and big sister have been arrested. My baby sister might be arrested soon as well, all because I refused to return to rehab. You called me a drug addict? What other name can you call me, a prostitute? One day, I will speak and tell the world everything you’ve done,” she wrote.
