Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone has explained why he was unable to perform at the just-ended Rapperholic concert held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
In a video shared on Instagram on September 29, 2025, the legendary musician dismissed rumors and clarified that he was indeed present at the event.
Reggie revealed that he was billed as a surprise act and was scheduled to mount the stage immediately after Obrafour’s historic joint performance with Sarkodie.

According to him, however, he could not perform because the file containing his performance track became corrupt just as he was about to step on stage.
“The way Sarkodie and Obrafour performed is the same way I was going to perform with him… I was supposed to be a surprise artiste. The song I was going to enter the stage with was not the Gen Z way. When I got off the plane, I never tweeted because I was supposed to be a surprise.
“What Sarkodie and I had was scripted. All he was supposed to say on stage was that he wanted me to be there, but he was hurt I couldn’t show up, and that was when I was supposed to pop up on stage. I was there when Angel called me that time was up. Just when I was about to go on stage, I could hear the soundtrack, but I wasn’t up there. I was told the file was corrupt,” he explained.

Reggie further noted that despite the technical hitch, he remained backstage until 5 a.m.
“I was supposed to be there for five minutes, by the way. We didn’t anticipate the traffic, rain, and all the above, but God works in mysterious ways. We stood behind the DJ, and I watched everybody’s performance till 5 in the morning,” he added.
The 2025 Rapperholic Concert featured a star-studded lineup of Ghanaian musicians who turned up in full force to support Sarkodie.
Performers included Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Shatta Wale, Efya, Beeztrap KOTM, among many others.
