The ShattaFest 2025 was a night to celebrate Ghanaian Dancehall icon Shatta Wale as he marked his 41st birthday.

Fans from various parts of Ghana thronged the Independence Square in Accra on October 18, 2025, to spend the night with the artiste as he and various other Ghanaian musicians treated the audience to hit songs.

But among the thousands of Ghanaians, an unexpected fan was spotted; a Chinese man.

The unidentified Chinese fan was seen draped in full fan-made Shatta Wale paraphernalia, including a T-shirt and a cap bearing the artistes face and name.

The Chinese man, when asked to perform any song by Shatta Wale, quickly broke out into his hit song ‘Killa Ji Mi,’ singing the song to the end.

When asked about his impressions of the artiste, he praised Shatta Wale’s stagecraft and impeccable talent.

“He has a strong stage presence and performance,” he said.
