German-born Ghanaian forward Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer has joined another Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05 ahead of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season.
The 24-year-old attacker moves from Hamburger SV after an impressive campaign where he played an important role in the club’s successful return to the Bundesliga.
Konigsdorffer featured regularly for Hamburg during the just-ended season, making 33 league appearances and scoring five goals as the club secured promotion and retained their place in Germany’s topflight.
The Ghana international has built solid experience in German football over the years, having also enjoyed a productive spell with Dynamo Dresden.
Across his time with both clubs, the striker has played 130 matches in the 2. Bundesliga and registered 29 goals.
The Carnival Club are expected to rely on Konigsdorffer’s pace, movement and attacking versatility as they strengthen their squad for the upcoming Bundesliga campaign.
The former Ghana youth international will also be aiming to impress Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz as he hopes to secure a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
