German-born Ghanaian international, Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer struck twice to propel Hamburger SV to a precious 3-2 win over Union Berlin in a thrilling round 22 clash of the Bundesliga.

The versatile forward was in the thick of things for the Red Shorts having contributed immensely to the win and earned himself an impressive rating of 8.5.

Austrian international Leopold Querfeld opened the scoring account in the 28th minute for the visitors but his lead was cancelled seven minutes later by Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer.

Nicolas Capaldo scored in the dying embers of the first half to give Hamburger SV the lead for the first time in the game as it finished 2-1 after the interval.

Königsdörffer scored again in the 82nd minute to extend his side’s lead to mark his fourth in the league this season but once again Union Berlin reduced the deficit courtesy a goal by Andrej Ilic

Hamburger SV after this precious win have moved to the ninth position on the log with 25 points. They will take on Mainz O5 next.

Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer has been out of the Black Stars for over a year now with his last appearance coming against Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
