Prophetess Beatrice Ayorkor Adjetey has been installed as the Development Queen Mother of Sempe Traditional Area, under the stool name Naa Adoley Nmlami I, at a colourful ceremony last Sunday.

She went through all the necessary traditional rites for days and was later paraded through some principal streets of Sempe, amidst drumming, chanting of praises and admiration to her new traditional and philanthropic role.

The newly installed Sempe Development Queen Mother has been described by many as a leader who has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions and the compassion to listen to the needs of others.

The noble queen mother had over the years joined hands with many communities including La and Sempe in order to ensure that the basic needs of the people were provided within the Ga-Dangbe communities and beyond.

Through her Angel Smile Foundation, Naa Nmlami I has put smiles on the faces of many orphans and single mothers who cannot provide for their children,

especially during school, as well as paying medical bills for the less-privileged in society.

Speaking at the colourful and well organised royal coronation ceremony, Naa Nmlami I, pledged her commitment to the Sempe Mantse, Nii Adotey Otintor, and the entire Ga-Dangbe people.

She prayed for God’s wisdom and knowledge to move the Sempe Traditional Area and the Ga-Dangbe to a higher height, saying she cannot achieve her goals without the collaboration of Sempe mei.

On his part, the Sempe Mantse and Manklalo of Ga State, Nii Adotey Otintor, stated that Naa Nmlami I had been doing many good things for the Ga-Dangbe people and her honour and elevation would encourage her to continue with her great work for the interest of Ga-Dangbe.
