Controversial Ghanaian pastor, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has sparked controversy online after publicly expressing his feelings for gospel singer Empress Gifty.

In a discussion on United Showbiz shared on X on October 26, 2025, Prophet Kumchacha recounted how he had feelings for the married singer but couldn’t express his emotions due to shyness.

According to Kumchacha, his feelings for the gospel musician grew stronger after she ended her marriage to her ex-husband, Prophet Prince Osei.

“Sometime ago, there were two women in the country I wanted to marry, and you were one of them. I had feelings for you. I can’t remember that particular year, but I was so interested in you,” he said.

He further noted that he had wanted to marry Empress Gifty due to her beauty and humility.

“When the other Osei left, I wanted to marry you and continue the legacy, but the problem is I was shy and couldn’t propose to you. I wasn’t married by then. When you met me, did you see me with my wife?

“I wanted to marry you because you were respectful, humble, and also beautiful,” he added.

The video has triggered reactions online as some netizens have diverse views concerning Prophet Kumchacha’s statement.
