John Dramani Mahama is expected to win the 2024 presidential election, and prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has made extravagant claims about his involvement in the victory, claiming that it was due to “divine strategy and spiritual warfare.”

In a recent video that was distributed to his congregation, Prophet Badu Kobi described how he and other pastors coordinated efforts throughout Ghana to combat what he described as “malevolent forces” that were backing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, according to MyNewsGH on Monday, December 23, 2024.

Prophet Badu Kobi declared, “I was assigned to the Ashanti Region, which is the NPP’s stronghold.”

He emphasized that the fight was not just political but also spiritual, explaining that his goal was to thwart any spiritual tactics that favoured the NPP.

A crucial region for the NPP, the Ashanti Region frequently sees high voter turnouts that contribute to the party’s successes. The prophet asserted, however, that his actions tipped the balance in Mahama’s favour. The prophet said that the outcome of the election was significantly influenced by divine intervention.

“God told me that the election would go to a second round if a significant number of NPP supporters showed up. God told me to encourage voter indifference among their members in order to stop this,” he said, claiming that his tactic was successful.

He added that Mahama would have won with more than 60% of the vote even in a second-round contest.
