President John Dramani Mahama and the 1st Lady, Lordina Mahama, have sponsored the construction of 10 legacy temples for Assemblies of God, Ghana where they both belong.

Each temple comes with a fully furnished, two-bedroom house for the pastor, an office, as well as musical equipment, and 150 chairs.

The donations are in fulfillment of a vow President Mahama and Mrs Mahama made to the 2024 General Council meeting of Assemblies of God, Ghana in Navrongo.

The First Couple have also refurbished an eleventh temple for Bole Assembly of God located in the hometown of President Mahama.

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Reverend Stephen Wengam was full of gratitude to the President and his wife for matching their pre- election promises with concrete action.

The Legacy Temple Project, according to Rev Wengam, “is a clarion and Marcedonian call on individuals, families, institutions, agencies, business entities, churches and their departments, to sponsor the construction of temples for newly planted churches, especially those in rural settings or for churches who lack the means to build their own places of worship.”

He appealed for more support to enable the church to establish its presence and spread the gospel in every village, town and city in Ghana.
