Popular Ghanaian stage actor Kwabena Yeboah, celebrated for his remarkable performances with Uncle Ebo Whyte’s Roverman Productions, has passed away.

According to a report by graphic.com.gh, news of his death emerged on April 25, 2025. The cause of death, however, has not yet been disclosed.

As of now, neither Uncle Ebo Whyte nor Roverman Productions has issued an official statement. Nonetheless, Kenneth Nii Saki Sackey from the company’s Communications Department acknowledged the loss with a symbolic tribute on Facebook, posting an image of a burning candle.

Tributes have since poured in from colleagues, friends, and fans across the creative industry. Actor and CEO of Image Bureau, George Quaye, took to Facebook to express his grief, writing, “Unbelievable! KY! Rest well, bro! Deepest condolences to your family, Uncle Ebo Whyte, and the entire Roverman team! This is really sad!”

Kwabena Yeboah, an alumnus of Opoku Ware Senior High School and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), was a beloved fixture on Ghana’s theatre scene. He became a familiar face to many through his vibrant roles in Uncle Ebo Whyte’s productions.

His last known stage role was as a pastor in the production “I Want To Feed You,” which was warmly received by audiences.

In what now feels like a poignant farewell, Yeboah’s final Facebook post, dated January 26, 2025, reflected his passion for his craft. Sharing a photo of a new hairstyle, he captioned it: “Things we do for work and passion.”
