The FDA has issued an urgent warning after a popular coffee creamer was recalled in 30 states after they were linked to spoilage.
More than 75,000 bottles of International Delight coffee creamer have been urgently recalled after reports of illness and spoilage, the Food and Drug Administration announced.
The company voluntarily recalled two popular flavors of the product – hazelnut and Cinnabon classic cinnamon roll.
Consumers have been warned to immediately discard these products if found in their fridges.
According to the FDA, International Delight’s parent company initiated the recall following multiple complaints of spoilage and reports of consumers becoming sick after consumption.
The exact number of people affected by illness has not been disclosed.
In a statement on Friday, Danone North America wrote: ‘International Delight is aware of a texture issue that some consumers have experienced with two of our creamers.’
‘We take every concern to heart, because this is not the quality we strive for.’

According to the company, the recalled products did not meet ‘quality standards due to premature spoilage manifesting as a texture issue.’
‘While we know this is disappointing for our creamer fans, testing data has confirmed that this is not a food safety issue,’ the statement read.
‘We chose to voluntarily recall these isolated products out of an abundance of caution while we address the quality issue.’
The contaminated products were widely distributed, reaching store shelves across more than 30 states.
The recall spans across Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Consumers should check their refrigerators for: Hazelnut creamer in 32 fluid ounce bottles with UPC code 0 41271 02565 2 and a best by date of July 2.
They should also check for: Cinnabon classic cinnamon roll creamer in 32 fluid ounce bottles with UPC code 0 41271 01993 3 and a best by date of July 3.
