    The Ghanaian entertainment industry is in mourning following the sad news of the passing of popular actress Mercy Little Smith, affectionately known by her stage name Benyiwaa, from the popular TV series Efiewura.

    The heartbreaking announcement was made on December 18, 2024, through the official Facebook page of the Efiewura TV series. The post read: “RIP Benyiwaa. She left the earth plane yesterday. Bye.”

    While the cause of her death has not yet been disclosed, her passing has deeply saddened fans, friends, and colleagues alike.

    Mercy Little Smith was widely celebrated for her portrayal of Benyiwaa, the wife of Lawyer Kabou from the “Apoto Ayowa” Chambers.

    Her character brought joy to countless viewers and made her a household name.

    Following the announcement, social media has been flooded with tributes from fans and colleagues, who have expressed their shock and grief.

    Many have shared fond memories of her contributions to Ghanaian entertainment and the impact she had on their lives.
