After being apprehended by the Ghana Police Service in the early hours of November 7, 2025, reports gathered indicate that coach Ibrahim Anyass has been released.

In a post shared by sports media personality Sadick Adams on X, he noted that coach Ibrahim Anyass, who has been accused of preying on 16-year-old Ransford Owusu Ansah, has been released.

According to Sadick Adams, Anyass was sent to the Police CID Headquarters early Thursday morning for questioning over his alleged involvement in the death of Ransford Owusu Ansah, following reports that the coach had sexually abused the teenager to death.

Ransford Owusu Ansah’s Death: Facts emerging about coach Ibrahim Anyass

“Siano Soccer Academy coach Ibrahim Anyass, accused of sodomizing #JusticeForRansford, has been released by the Ghana Police Service after being questioned at the CID headquarters this morning,” Sadick Adams shared on X.

Meanwhile, #JusticeForRansford has been trending on social media for the past few days, as netizens continue to seek justice for the late teenager who died in March 2025.

Following Ransford’s death and the public outcry, several videos circulating online show coach Ibrahim in casual moments with the late Ransford and other children of Siano Football Academy, sometimes in rooms where they appear to be asleep, or on training grounds where he led practice drills.

These clips, once seen as harmless, have now taken on a chilling new context as investigators and the public question what really went on behind closed doors at the academy.

Anyass is yet to publicly respond to the allegations. The closest he came was during a reported phone call on a television programme, where he promised to share his side of the story, a promise he has yet to fulfil.
