Police have launched a CCTV probe after an ‘masked group carrying weapons’ ran after pupils outside of a school earlier this week.
West Midlands Police have since launched a probe as they comb through CCTV following the alleged incident on Shannon Road in Kings Norton.
The force arrived to scene nearby Ark Kings Academy at around 3.40pm after receiving reports an alleged armed and ‘masked gang’ who were ‘chas[ing] students’.
No injuries have been reported since the incident. No one has yet been arrested as police continue their inquiries.
A police spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: ‘We’re investigating reports of disorder on Shannon Road, Birmingham, at around 3.40pm on Monday (10 March).

‘A group of students reported being chased by another group who were wearing masks and reportedly carrying weapons.
‘No injuries were reported.
‘We are reviewing CCTV and will be speaking to witnesses as our enquiries to identify those involved continue.
‘We are committed to tackling serious youth violence and continue to work with local schools and colleges to educate young people around the dangers of carrying weapons.’
