Piers Morgan has been hounded by a Baby Reindeer-style stalker who has accused him of abuse and harassment – claims he has called a ‘complete fantasy’.
The journalist, 59, was forced to defend himself in court against Felicity Jane Lowde after she brought wild claims against him in an apparent bid for a payout.
In the past year, Lowde has filed 64 cases against multiple celebrities, including one which accused Mr Morgan of hijacking her brother’s identity.
She was previously jailed for six months in 2007 for stalking Rachel North, a survivor of the London Bomings on July 7, 2005.
Lowde began bombarding Mr Morgan after his explosive May 2024 interview with Fiona Harvey who is believed to be the woman depicted as Richard Gadd’s stalker in Netflix hit Baby Reindeer.
Last September, Lowde filed a Central London county court judgement against Mr Morgan and his company Insider Productions Ltd despite having never met him or had contact with him.
She accused him of ‘abuse, harassment, fraud and dishonest’ in an apparent attempt at forcing him into a big payout.
The enraged TV presenter hit back at Lowde last night, telling The Sun: ‘What she was trying to accuse me of was absurd, complete fantasy.’

Lowde claimed Mr Morgan stole her brothers identity and ‘worked with insalubrious associates on a campaign involving stealing my creative work and family history to promote himself as a member of my family’.
‘He is promoting himself as a lost aristocrat to compensate for his humiliations on the world stage after his campaign of stalking and harassment of Harry and Meghan,’ she said.
Another bizarre accusation saw Lowde accuse Mr Morgan of being sexually obsessed with toilets.
Mr Morgan won his firm’s case against Lowde last month and the one against him personally was also thrown out after he defended it online.
The former Good Morning Britain host said he didn’t want to have to defend himself or his company in court but he was forced to after being contacted by the court.
If he had not done so it would have gone through the court process and he could have received a judgement against himself or his company which he believes was what Lowde ‘was trying to do’.
Lowde was ordered to pay Mr Morgan £6,000 in damages but he has ‘no expectation seeing any of that money’.
‘She is a harasser, a bit like Baby Reindeer’s,’ he told The Sun, adding: ‘This could happen to anyone — whether they’re in the public eye or not — at a huge personal cost.’
In his witness statement in court, he revealed that TV stars, comedians and campaigners have also taken action against her, including JK Rowling.

He added: ‘For anyone in the public eye who gets these kinds of harassing letters, it’s always a bit unsettling.
‘You never quite know whether the person is a threat or not.
‘Obviously I don’t want to run the risk of an actual threat so you need to be careful with people like this because they’ve clearly got something wrong with them.
‘This is a convicted stalker who harassed a terror-attack survivor. It’s hard to think of anything more despicable.
‘I’ve got security, but you can’t live like a hermit and let that stuff get in your head.’
Mr Morgan is now calling on the courts to stop Lowde from bringing forward endless cases against public figures.
Instead, he suggests she can pursue them by using ‘fee remission’ usually granted based on the applicant’s financial circumstances.
He explained this would mean the cost to her issuing the claims would be ‘effectively nothing’ and pointed out that this is not the case for all the defendants who are forced to go through the court process and end up paying the costs.
Mr Morgan said Lowde’s skillfull abuse of the court process highlights a weakness in the overall system.
He questioned why she is allowed to continue despite doing it multiple times and it being ‘obvious it’s all bulls***’.
‘It’s highly likely the collective expenditure defending ourselves against a total fantasist who’s deliberately abusing the court system is a six-figure sum,’ he said.
Mr Morgan said ‘probably isn’t a threat’ and ‘just likes being incredibly annoying’ given that she has targeted many well-known figures.
But questioned if it would be taken more seriously if Lowde was a man targeting a woman, adding: ‘I do think there’s a bit of a double standard there.’
Mr Morgan’s controversial interview with Fiona Harvey came after the success of Baby Reindeer in which creator Richard Gadd played Donny, a man stalked by a fictional woman, Martha Scott, played by Jessica Gunning.
The story was a dramatised retelling of Mr Gadd’s alleged real life experience with being stalked.
Ms Harvey, who is thought to be the real Martha but was never jailed, has since launched a £135million lawsuit against Netflix.
She claims Baby Reindeer falsely depicted her as a convicted criminal who was jailed for stalking offences. Netflix has strongly denied this.
In Mr Morgan’s hour-long interview with Ms Harvey, she admitted she knew Mr Gadd when he was working in a London pub but denied acting like Martha from the show.
