A high-level delegation from the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), led by its Chairperson Constantine Kudzedzi, has paid a courtesy visit to the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) at the Gas House in Accra.

In a press release dated June 20, 2025, Ghana Gas announced that the visit aimed to deepen institutional collaboration and address critical issues affecting the sustainability of Ghana’s energy sector.

The PIAC delegation was received by the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gas, Ms. Judith Adjobah Blay, and her two deputies, Dr. Robert Lartey and Mr. Rene Nelson.

The engagement emphasized the importance of continuous partnership between PIAC and Ghana Gas to promote transparency, operational efficiency, and sustainable development in the energy industry. Both parties highlighted the need for stronger collaboration to ensure effective management of the country’s natural gas resources.

Mr. Kudzedzi commended Ghana Gas for its consistent compliance with PIAC’s oversight obligations, particularly the timely submission of reports that enhance sector accountability.

Ms. Blay, in her remarks, reaffirmed the company’s longstanding relationship with PIAC and reiterated Ghana Gas’s commitment to supporting the Committee’s oversight mandate.

The meeting offered a platform for both institutions to discuss pressing energy sector concerns and explore collaborative solutions.

The renewed commitment is expected to enhance governance and drive sustainability within Ghana’s energy landscape.
