Ghanaian filmmakers Peter Sedufia and Shirley Frimpong-Manso are set to collaborate on a new movie.
The collaboration will see the filmmaker behind OldFilm Productions and other behind Sparrow Productions combine their experience, storytelling abilities and production expertise to deliver a movie for movie lovers.
As part of preparations for the upcoming production, Peter Sedufia, Shirley Frimpong-Manso and members of the project team paid a courtesy visit to the National Film Authority (NFA), where they met with the Chief Executive Officer, Kafui Danku, and her deputy, James Gardiner.
The visit provided an opportunity for the team to formally introduce the upcoming production to the authority and share their plans for the project.
According to the filmmakers, the decision to come together is driven by their desire to create something special for movie lovers. With both producers bringing years of experience in directing, producing and developing quality film content, the collaboration is expected to combine their individual strengths into one major production.
Peter Sedufia, known for films such as Keteke, Aloe Vera, Sidechic Gang and Away Bus, has established himself as a filmmaker with a distinctive visual style and a strong commitment to creative storytelling.
Shirley Frimpong-Manso, on the other hand, has built a remarkable reputation through Sparrow and acclaimed productions including The Perfect Picture, Contract, Scorned, Potato Potahto and Grey Dawn.
Their decision to work together therefore represents a meeting of two different but highly respected filmmaking approaches, with the potential to produce a movie that appeals to both longtime Ghanaian film audiences and a new generation of movie lovers.
The team also revealed that the official unveiling of the cast and other relevant details of the project will take place at the LA Palm Beach Resort on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The unveiling is expected to provide movie lovers and industry stakeholders with more information about the production, including the actors who will feature in the movie and other important aspects of the project.
The filmmakers have consequently invited all movie lovers to be present at the event as they officially introduce the project to the public.
Speaking about what audiences should expect, Peter Sedufia assured movie lovers that the production will bring together some of the biggest names in the industry alongside fresh faces.
“Movie lovers should expect all the greats and some new casts in the movie because Shirley and I are ready to give movie lovers a good one,” Peter Sedufia stated.
