In the wake of the heartbreaking death of Ghanaian music legend Daddy Lumba a lot of people in the creative ve industry have been making suggestions about how they believe his final funeral rite should be performed.

In the wake of the suggestions, media personality Mike Two of Adom FM has also stirred some mixed reactions online with his suggestion concerning the musician’s final rites.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Mike Two took to his Facebook wall to propose that people should be charged a fee to file past the late icon’s body during his funeral proceedings.

He argued that such a move would not only help manage the expected large crowds but also generate funds, possibly in support of the funeral or other causes related to the highlife legend’s legacy.

His exact post read: “People should pay to file pass Daddy Lumba’s body to avoid large crowd and make money too.”

While some social media users agreed with Mike Two’s stance, citing crowd control, logistics, and fundraising benefits, others found the idea to be inappropriate and exploitative, especially in a period of mourning.

The suggestion comes just days after Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, was reported to have passed away on Friday, July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Cantonments, Accra, after a short illness. He was 60 years old.
