Ghanaian reggae artiste and media personality, Blakk Rasta, has lambasted Minority Leader, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, for what he termed the latter’s frequent “negative” criticism ever since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) went into opposition.

Speaking on 3FM on March 26, 2025, Blakk Rasta described Afenyo-Markin as a hypocrite for becoming outspoken now that his party is in opposition.

He emphasised that the Minority Leader remained silent while in power, even when Ghanaians accused the NPP government of corruption and economic hardship.

“People like Afenyo-Markin are dangerously hypocritical they are the friends of Satan. Your dirty government sat on the destinies of Ghanaians for eight solid years. The Nana Addo, Bawumia government has no legacy but a legacy of lies and dirty corruption. Yet, this guy still has the mouth to speak.

“When guys like these are being chased and you sit there and say concentrate on your policies. Are you human or inhumane? When the National Service Secretariat had ghost names dancing in their payroll you didn’t have anything to say about it. You got out of power with a legacy of corruption, yet you won’t shut up, ” he said.

Blakk Rasta further called for the investigation of Afenyo-Markin, whom he believes is part of the group of corrupt officials when the NPP was in office.

“Why can’t we round up Afenyo-Markin and all these guys? They should raid their homes one after the other. We should prosecute them, find them guilty, and let them suffer for bringing Ghanaians into hell,” he urged.

Blakk Rasta, however, praised President John Dramani Mahama for arresting former government appointees in connection with corruption-related cases.

“This is the time I feel great as a Ghanaian, and thanks so much to John Dramani Mahama. He has been in opposition and understands what it means to be in opposition as a former president,” he said.
