Once a symbol of luxury and legacy, Brazilian football icon Pele’s beachfront mansion now lies abandoned and overtaken by nature. The property, valued at around £1.1 million, sits on Pernambuco Beach in Guaruja and was once home to the three-time World Cup winner before his passing in December 2022.
The estate, complete with a private football pitch, swimming pool, tennis court, and bar, has fallen into disrepair just three years after Pele’s death. Content creator Lucas Wesley and two friends stumbled upon the mansion in 2024 after discovering the garage door slightly ajar.
What they found inside was far from the glory once associated with the Brazilian legend: peeling walls, broken furniture, and signs of neglect throughout the property.

Wesley documented the exploration in a 90-minute TikTok video posted in October 2024, which has since attracted over 2.5 million views.
He later shared parts of the footage on Instagram, reigniting global interest in the fallen state of the late star’s former residence.
Pele, who passed away at 82 due to multiple organ failure, following a battle with colon cancer, had spent his final years away from public life. The decay of his once-proud mansion stands in stark contrast to the enduring brilliance of his footballing legacy.
