The Aggrieved Newly Posted Teachers group has given the government one week to pay their outstanding salaries, warning that they will stage a protest if their demands are not met.

This new ultimatum follows an initial deadline that has already passed.

According to a citinewsroom.com report on September 22, 2025, the lead convener of the group, Simon Kofi Nartey, stated that members would stage a protest on September 30 if the situation is not resolved.

The group, which includes graduates from colleges of education and universities, says some members have not been paid for up to 12 months, while others have gone eight months without a salary.

They claim they have not received a meaningful response despite petitioning the Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities on September 8, 2025.
