A man and a half-naked woman are wanted by police after they broke into a home and stole a Porsche and Mercedes.

The unidentified couple, where the woman was pantless, snuck into the home in Camberwell, in Melbourne‘s east, on January 4 at about 3.20am.

The duo also knicked clothes and jewellery before fleeing the scene in the luxury cars.

Authorities described the man as being Caucasion in appearance, who was wearing a black hoodie and blue baseball cap.

Police described the woman as having blonde hair and wearing a black hoodie and no pants.

In the photos released by the police, the man appears to be reaching towards the fridge while peering over the kitchen counter with the main house lights on.

The thieves are believed to have fled with two luxury cars along with jewellery and clothing

The female thief, blonde, was described as wearing no pants and a black hoodie

The stolen luxury cars have since been recovered in nearby Melbourne suburbs

The Porsche was later found in Glen Iris, a suburb just south of Camberwell, while the Mercedes turned up a few kilometres east in Forest Hill.

Camberwell and the broader Borondoora local government area has a relatively low crime rate by state and national standards.

Police are urging anyone with information relating to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.

Victoria Police was contacted for further comment.
