Panama have lined up a demanding three-match preparation schedule ahead of their opening game against Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada.
Head coach Thomas Christiansen has announced his final 26-man squad for the tournament, with the Central American side set to test themselves against strong opposition before heading to North America for the Mundial.
Los Canaleros will begin their warm-up campaign with a high-profile clash against five-time world champions Brazil at the famous Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. They will then return to Panama to face the Dominican Republic at the Estadio Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez before wrapping up preparations against Bosnia and Herzegovina at Energizer Park in the United States.
Following the friendly matches, Panama will travel to their training base in Ontario, Canada, to complete final preparations for the tournament. Christiansen is expected to use the games to assess his squad and finalise his tactical plans before the World Cup begins.
Panama have been drawn in a challenging Group L alongside Ghana, England and Croatia. They will open their campaign against the Black Stars on June 17 at Toronto Stadium.
Meanwhile, Ghana have also intensified preparations under head coach Carlos Queiroz, with the Black Stars currently camping in Cardiff ahead of a friendly against Wales on June 2 before travelling to North America for the tournament.
