Ace Sports Journalist, Saddick Adams, has revealed that Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has appointed new captains.

According to him, the manager has made Thomas Partey his main skipper, Alexander Djiku his first deputy, and Mohammed Kudus his second deputy.

The new list does not include Andre Dede Ayew, who has not made the squad since the German-trained gaffer took over in February.

Despite appointing new leadership for the team, Otto Addo bypassed Djiku to name Kudus captain for Ghana’s games against Sudan in October.

While explaining the coach’s decision on GhanaWeb Sports Check, Saddick Adams stated that Kudus leapfrogged Djiku to captain the team because the latter was serving punishment.

In a previous interview, Saddick detailed that Djiku was found guilty of lying about having a game to delay his reporting time for the Sudan game.

After leading Ghana’s two games against Sudan, Kudus has been stripped of the armband for Jordan Ayew, who is set to captain the team for their games against Angola and Niger in the absence of Thomas Partey.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, November 7, 2024, to announce the squad, Otto Addo said that he has decided to give the role to Jordan Ayew at the expense of Mohammed Kudus.

The latest changes mean Alexander Djiku has been sidelined again despite being the second deputy.
