The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has reportedly invited private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu and an Accra-based media house for questioning regarding comments made by the lawyer.

According to a post shared by investigative journalist Mannesseh Azure Awuni on November 18, 2025, the summons relates to remarks Kpebu made alleging that the Special Prosecutor [Kissi Agyebeng], colluded to ensure that the embattled former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, left Ghana for the United States despite an ongoing investigation into financial irregularities during his tenure under the Akufo-Addo government.

The Facebook post stated, “OSP invites Martin Kpebu and TV3 over allegations of corruption and that the OSP looked away while Ken Ofori-Atta left the country.”

Kpebu, who is also a prominent commentator, had recently questioned the impartiality of the OSP on an Accra-based TV station, suggesting that certain officials were undermining the institution’s mandate and allowing Ken Ofori-Atta to evade accountability.

The invitation comes amid heightened scrutiny of the OSP’s handling of high-profile cases and ongoing public debate over the Special Prosecutor’s actions, transparency, and accountability.

Meanwhile, further details regarding the specific allegations prompting the summons or the date of questioning were not disclosed in the Facebook post.
