A Ghanaian living in Reading, United Kingdom, has reflected on his first encounter with the late TikTok star Osanju, sharing an emotional backstory of friendship and illness.

In an interview with ZionFelix, Nana Aidoo, widely known as Dr. Ntakra Ohene, explained that Osanju reached out to him shortly after he publicly disclosed his own battle with cancer. “When I first spoke about my condition, many people insulted me,” he recalled. “Osanju kept messaging me, and by the third time, I finally responded.”

During that initial exchange, Osanju confided that he had been struggling with leukemia since birth. According to Dr. Ntakra Ohene, Osanju admitted he feared speaking openly about the illness because of how others might judge him. “I encouraged him to share his truth,” he said, emphasizing the importance of honesty and support in fighting stigma.

He further recounted sending money to Osanju to help purchase medication, describing their conversations as deeply personal. “Though some advised me not to say this, I know my life could end any day,” he admitted, reflecting on his own fragile health.

Expressing sorrow over Osanju’s death, Dr. Ntakra Ohene added, “If he had been living abroad, I believe he wouldn’t have died.”
