Nana Safo Kantanka is the son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka

Following the recent controversies surrounding who should be the ideal heir to inherit the late Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka’s empire, old videos concerning him and his children have resurfaced online.

One particular video that has been making waves on the internet for the past few days is a year-old interview granted by Nana Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, the second son and fifth born of the late inventor.

In the video sighted by GhanaWeb on October 10, 2025, Nana Safo Kantanka, who was speaking on Konnected Minds Podcast, noted that the reason why most inherited businesses do not survive is due to family disputes and the chaos of succession.

He explained that most families spend time fighting over inheritance instead of protecting the legacy left behind, adding that in most circumstances, such businesses do not survive for long due to the rivalry involved.

Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka declared son successor in resurfaced video

“There is always a problem with transition. If it is done early, it helps, but if it is done later, there is always chaos. People spend time with the chaos bit. Families spend time on why a particular person isn’t inheriting the property while there is a legacy to be protected,” he said.

Nana Kwadwo Safo Kantanka further noted that children mostly fight over inheritance, especially when their parents were involved in a polygamous marriage.

“The worst case is when you have a family where there are different mothers. That is where the problem is, because everyone is supporting a child to be at a certain point where they feel they would be comfortable,” he added.

Meanwhile, following the demise of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, another video has resurfaced online showing him indicating that his second son, Nana Kwadwo, should be the right heir to his enterprise.

According to the late inventor, he knew that Nana Kwadwo would be the successor to his empire right from his mother’s womb.
