Ghanaian musician, Okyeame Kwame, has launched an online campaign seeking for Daddy Lumba to collaborate with King Paluta on his new track, “For the Popping.”

Okyeame Kwame announced this initiative on Facebook, urging fans to show their support.

“All King Paluta fans who would love a collaboration with Daddy Lumba should type DL under this post. I will personally show it to him. Let’s goo!” he wrote.

In a video where he was spotted dancing to “For the Popping” in a swimming pool, Okyeame Kwame added, “Daddy Lumba, you have to remix this song. It fits perfectly within your lane.”

While incorporating modern musical elements, King Paluta’s latest release is a party anthem that retains the essence of Burger Highlife.

His previous hit, “Makoma,” marked his first foray into this sub-genre. He often pays homage to Daddy Lumba, even imitating the iconic ‘Aben Wo Ha’ shoulder dance and the motif of artistes surrounded by fans that Lumba popularised during his heyday.

Perhaps, a collaboration with Daddy Lumba would undoubtedly elevate King Paluta’s profile and open up new opportunities in the industry.
