Okyeame Kwame has commented on the storm surrounding Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini saga, saying the incident should be a wake-up call to car owners and buyers in the country.

During a discussion on the Fakye Showbiz program, the popular rapper stressed that the situation highlights how easily anyone could find themselves entangled in similar legal troubles.

According to him, many people in Ghana purchase vehicles without verifying their background, something he admitted he has also done in the past. The controversy, he said, has forced him to rethink his approach.

“We all buy cars from the streets, especially if it is not from the showroom. So this can happen to everyone. I have taken advice on this issue. From henceforth, if I buy a car, I will make sure to go check the history to see if it is a stolen car or not.

Because I have bought a lot of cars from the street without checking their history, so from henceforth I will do so when I buy a car,” he stated.

Despite the uproar, Okyeame Kwame expressed sympathy for Shatta Wale, noting that the experience must have been difficult. He said he hopes the dancehall star will not be found guilty after investigations are concluded.

“Sleeping in the cell for a night is really bad for someone who stays at the Trasacco. I feel bad for him, but it is my prayer that he will be found not guilty at the end of the whole investigation,” the Rap Doctor said.
