Legendary Ghanaian hiplife artist Okomfour Kwadee, who has been away from the music scene for over a decade due to mental health challenges, appears to be making a comeback.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows the rapper performing for a crowd of high school students in the Ashanti Region.

Kwadee, known for his thought-provoking lyrics on songs like “Me Yere Ne Me Mpena” and “Ofie Nipa,” performed some of his classic hits to an audience largely made up of young people who were either toddlers or not yet born during the peak of his career.

The students were seen enthusiastically singing along and dancing to his songs.

The performance is not merely a comeback for the beloved artist; it is part of a larger initiative to create awareness about the dangers of drug use.

Kwadee has been open about his struggles, having been in and out of rehabilitation centres, including the Willingway Rehab Centre in Kumasi.

By leveraging his personal history and past success, organisers hope to deliver a powerful message to the youth about the risks of substance abuse.

This recent public appearance has sparked a wave of support from fans and well-wishers who are excited to see the award-winning musician on the path to recovery and resurgence.
