Ghanaian hiplife artiste Okomfour Kwadee is reportedly on the path to recovery after undergoing months of psychiatric care, according to radio presenter Ohemaa Woyeje.

Speaking on United Showbiz on Saturday, June 21, 2025, Ohemaa Woyeje revealed that the musician’s mental health has significantly improved, thanks to an intervention by an unidentified benefactor who placed him in a rehabilitation facility.

“Currently his condition is okay, he looks very fine. But we don’t know the person who sent him to the care home. Like I said he is fine. But you know since he is stable right now he doesn’t have to stay there,” she said.

Despite the positive update, Woyeje pointed out that Kwadee’s long-term wellbeing depends on finding a safe and supportive environment that will help him avoid relapse.

“His mother even called me to ask me if there is any place he can stay so that he won’t go back to the drugs anymore,” she shared.

According to her, efforts are underway to secure a stable living arrangement that limits outside influence, especially from individuals who might reintroduce the artist to substance abuse.

“His mother is in Accra right now. I spoke to the MUSIGA president and the funds Kwadee received are with him. So we are looking for a place that can accommodate him. A place where people won’t get access to him. And influencing him into doing drugs again,” Ohemaa Woyeje disclosed.
