As anticipation builds for the semi-final clash of the WAFU B U-20 Championship, the match officials set to oversee Ghana’s showdown with Côte d’Ivoire have been announced.

Scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2024, this fixture promises a gripping encounter as both teams battle for a coveted spot in the tournament final.

Malian Sory Ibrahima Keita has been selected as the Centre Referee and will be assisted by Ephraim Whehgar Grant Whengar (Liberia) and Tchedre Gbandi Belaou (Togo). Kossi Fabrice Senyo (Togo) has been named as the Fourth Official, while Pare Lassina (Burkina Faso) has been named as Match Commissioner.

Ghana legend Samuel Opoku Nti has also been named as a member of the Technical Study Group.

The Black Satellites, winners of Group A, will battle the second-placed Group B team, Côte d’Ivoire, in an epic youth Championship semi-final clash in Togo.

Coach Desmond Ofei’s side needs to be at their best, as victory against the Ivorians will guarantee a place in the final and secure the side’s qualification to the U20 AFCON.

The WAFU B U20 Championship serves as the qualification for the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, with only the finalists going through.

This 2025 U20 AFCON will also serve as the African qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, where the four semi-finalists will qualify automatically.
